ICE Exhibition 2011- THE WORLD

UNITEN ICE Student Chapter presents,

THE WORLD
BUILDING COMPETITION



Submission Date : 6 JANUARY 2011
Time : 12.00PM - 3.00PM
Venue : BD Laboratory

Prizes:
                   Champion        - RM 300
                   1st Runner-up  - RM 100
                   2nd Runner-up - RM 50

Objective
  • To build given landmarks throughout the whole world using only recycled material.
  • To portray the idea of green awareness and cutting down the wastage of raw materials.

Exhibits
  • Completed building will be displayed during the ICE Exhibition Day from 12 January 2011 to 13 January 2011.

Voting
  • Voting will be conducted to determine the winner of the best building displayed on the day of exhibition.

Rules and Regulation
  • A group must consist of at least one(1) people and not more than four(4) people.
  • Participants are not allowed to build over the given base limit and ensure the stability of the structure built with a limited height.
  • Participants are allowed to use any recycled material.
  • Avoid using new/unused materials for the construction of model for the competition.
  • Given base size is 60cm x 60cm.
  • Maximum height is 140cm.
  • All forms of adhesive are allowed. (Don't go overboard on the usage)
  • Color sprays and lighting devices are accepted for beautifying purpose.
  • Scoring(100%) for the best building built  will be based 30% by judge (lecturer/advisor) and 70% by audience. If there should be a draw/tie, the judges' votes will be taken priority.
  • All decision are final and no changes will be considered.
  • Completed building must be submitted on the given date and time. Any late submission will not be entertained.
  • Do NOT build structure that is unrelated to the one chosen.
  • Do NOT use your own wooden board/planks for the base.
  • Avoid using recycled materials that has unpleasant stench.
  • Test your building for stability against wind before submission.
  • Failure to comply with the rules will be penalized/disqualified accordingly.
